Purple Star School
“We must never forget why we have and why we need our military. Our armed forces exist solely to ensure our nation is safe, so that each and every one of us can sleep soundly at night, knowing we have ‘guardians at the gate.’”
Lieutenant Colonel Allen West
What is a Purple Star School
The Indiana Purple Star School Designation honors schools that have displayed a significant commitment to service members, veterans, and students and families connected to our nation’s military.
Welcome to RCCA–
A Proud Purple Star School!
At Rock Creek Community Academy, we take immense pride in supporting the Purple Star School program, demonstrating our unwavering commitment to supporting our veterans and their families. We understand the sacrifices made by those who have served our nation, and we’re honored to create a welcoming and inclusive environment for them and their families.
Our dedication to this cause goes beyond words – it’s ingrained in our very fabric. One shining example of this commitment is our esteemed Resource Officer, Retired Marine Corps Gunnery Sgt. Bill Paro. Mr. Paro brings a wealth of 20 years of military experience to our staff. His insight, understanding, and expertise ensure that we’re not only meeting the needs of our veterans and their families but exceeding them.
At Rock Creek, we’re more than just a school – we’re a close-knit community. Many of our staff and students are children of veterans, providing us with a unique perspective on the life of a military service member’s family. This firsthand experience enables us to tailor our support to address the specific challenges and opportunities that arise in the lives of these remarkable individuals.
From academic guidance to emotional support, we’re here to ensure that every veteran and their family members feel respected, valued, and understood. We provide a nurturing environment where veterans can connect with each other, share their stories, and thrive alongside their families.
Join us at Rock Creek Community Academy, where honoring our veterans isn’t just a gesture – it’s a way of life. Experience the difference that a caring community can make as we stand proudly as a Purple Star School, dedicated to supporting those who have served our nation with honor and bravery.
